You can use a Mega Taunt ally in particular to absorb the Team recoils, you do need to be careful as to try and not kill them however. And Barbatos' relic slots of Double Sword are, on paper, really good for further boosting his output with LazarBeam's Sword or even keeping himself alive with the healing from Cain's Sword. That said it also gives him a lack of Stamina Regen which he would highly benefit from as it would help him throw out his strongest skills more often even after getting Stamina Drained or spending too much with his Extra Turn skills. He also has a very mediocre trait, no other negative effects towards his enemies other than Hellfire, only Dark element skills making him vulnerable to getting walled or "bulked out" by a good Dark Tank, and if his Self and Team recoil effects weren't bad enough, he also boasts one of the lowest Doomsday monster Life stats of all time.
Overall a monster who would have been interesting or neat as a raw damage spammer who is dragged down by awful recoil skills, a bad trait, a terrible Life stat, only Dark skills, and bad relics for longer battles.
He is not recommended for any major meta environment. In PvP there are so many better Attackers to choose from, all of which have 0 recoil in their best skills, and in Team Wars Barbatos' gameplay style goes against the rules of Team Wars which is to keep all 3 of your monsters on your team alive to get 3 coins, just don't use him there either.
